G PRD has a team of Pharmacoepidemiologists, biostatisticians and doctors based in the UK, USA and Europe. The team is under the leadership of Dr Tjeerd Van Staa, the second most published author of research using GPRD data. Tjeerd has held positions in academia and the pharmaceutical industry where he was the European qualified person for Pharmacovigilance. For the past 4 years he has been Head of Research at GPRD.

The research team has expertise in many clinical areas as well as different types of studies. It works both in SAS and Stata and naturally knows and understands GPRD data very well.
