GPRD is no longer just a UK database - it now has global reach.

Staff

As well as a UK staff complement of 25, GPRD has people in mainland Europe (Netherlands and Italy) as well as on the east coast of the USA. These staff can provide specific input related to the use of GPRD data, or on how data from the country concerned can now be integrated in multi-country studies. Data

GPRD has formed an alliance with IMS Health that enables both parties’ clients to have easier access to anonymised, person-level data from both Europe and the USA. This will enable and maximise the way global pharma can undertake multi-country pharmacoepidemiology studies - safety, outcomes, pharmaco-economics.

Data is currently available for the UK, France, Germany, Austria and the USA.

Additionally, via academic links, data from other European (particularly Scandinavian) countries can also be accessed.
