There are several ways to access Full Feature GPRD (FF-GPRD), either as datasets, through commissioned research and reports or through secure on-line access. To help you decide which data is most suited to your study we have simplified the database structure diagramatically into several modules around the core data. Access to the core data is referred to as Level 3 access, shown as purple on the diagram. Access to all the data is referred to as Level 4, shown as purple plus the surrounding blue areas. You can also pick and choose a selection of the modules and this is known as Premium Level 3. Introduction to the Services
Level 4 access
Provides on-line access to all data (plus value added services) and is designed for organisations which wish to conduct descriptive and analytical studies, frequency distributions of prescriptions, medical signs, symptoms and diagnosis.
Level 3 access
Provides on-line access to a set of core variables (plus some value-added services), including patient demographics, all prescriptions and medical records and a library of standard research queries which can be parameterised. It is aimed at organisations which conduct drug utilisation, frequency distributions of prescriptions and medical diagnoses and assess their temporal association.
Premium Level 3 access
Standard Level 3 access plus additional data modules. Combination of certain modules enables users to estimate person time of exposure or conduct descriptive and analytic studies.
