Annual live birth rates in FF-GPRD by gender
Description: Number of live births by gender per 1000 female patients, aged 15 to 44, in FF-GPRD
This report describes the rate of birth by gender, as estimated in FF-GPRD between 1990 and 2007. The estimates were based on yearly counts of new-borns registered in FF-GPRD within 6 months from birth (numerator) and on counts of currently registered patients under observation each year (denominator). Given the above approach, only live births were accounted for in the estimate of birth counts.
Birth rate is the number of new live births divided by the number of registered female patients aged 15 to 44 years at the midpoint (30th June) of the calendar year of interest.
Data presented relates to 'Acceptable' patients from 'Up-To-Standard' practices only.
