Pregnancy rates in FF-GPRD by year

Description: Number of pregnancies by year per 1000 female patients, aged 15 to 44, in FF-GPRD

This report describes the rate of pregnancy in FF-GPRD between 1990 and 2007 for women of childbearing age. The estimates were based on yearly counts of female patients of child-bearing age (15-44 years) with an indication of pregnancy in their clinical records (numerator) and on counts of active patients under observation each year (denominator).

Pregnancy rate is the number of recorded pregnancies divided by the number of registered female patients aged 15 to 44 years at the midpoint (30th June) of the calendar year of interest. Pregnancies were identified using Read and OXMIS medical codes.

Data presented relates to 'Acceptable' patients from 'Up-To-Standard' practices only.
